  1. Saturdays have been tough for us to get to Yale but on the topic of latest and greatest...

OK, so now my quest for planning and purchasing appliances for our kitchen renovation has led me to the possibility of using an induction cooktop. I am still partial to a range, though. What do you think about the Diva 365? I couldn’t find an appliance showroom that had it closer than NJ, but it shows you guys do carry Diva appliances… Clearly I am all over the place with this renovation since my second choice is probably the GE cafe dual fuel. I am not interested in the conventional electric, but not in love with gas either (although I think the performance will be better than regular electric), and I we will need to install the gas using LP so ongoing cost may be a factor…I am really intrigued by the efficiency of the induction cooktops. If not the Diva one, what else is a good performing but not necessarily the “status” brand for induction? I am a quality and value person rather than an “impress the neighbors person.”

  2. Whoa....

Induction is way faster than gas or electric and more efficient. There seems to be 2 types of induction a basic like Electrolux and Icon and a better type like Diva, Thermador and Wolf.

The difference is the wattage. If in doubt look for an especially big burner....Difference between the 2 is approximately $600

We have Diva on display. I like the unit....
