Stack it....

Laundry has changed, especially over the last 2 years. Have a look...

What dont you see?

GE, LG, Whirlpoool, Frigidaire, Electrolux, Maytag and Bosch are all designed to be stacked or placed side by side...This is a much better option than the one piece. It is much larger in capacity, has better features and can be repaired more easily.

More Visual Aids

When I was an appliance lad, our display was very similar to what you see everywhere....rows and rows of stuff lined up by category. That's fine if people want to buy just one piece....if they need to renovate a space, however, you need to create an environment...

I always partner with a granite shop (Adamo in Boston, great guy) and try to show people radically new products and ideas for their consideration

This is our latest environment...

Cooktop is a Bosch, Thermador and Gaggenau steamer...Look at the downdraft, it is self circulating and is vented back through the toe kick

36 inch pizza ovens from Gaggenau

Cool monorail track and pendants from Tech....I like track as an option to recessed lighting, especially in modern spaces

Cool faucet

Stainless island counters look good, but we will see once they have been used(and abused)...interestng rock backsplash

The Perfect Smoothie

Can't resist this one either. First, frosted bathroom doors and now this. I have, however, posted 5 columns, so I have stayed true to the stated blog objective.

There is only 2 items needed for the perfect smoothie...

Fruit and a Vitamix blender. The Vitamix can mulch everything, ice, fruit, bone, etc
What fruit is up to you. I like bananas for thickness, pineapple for texture and blueberrys...because I like blueberrys.

Here is a tip: dont add liquid, use ice. Ice will decrease temperature and add more mass than water.

And yes, Vodka is another good ingredient.

Capital And NXR

Behold The Yale Outlet:

A hodgepodge of different stuff, discontinued products, floor models, some scratch products, a few damaged pieces.

And 2 professional brands, NXR and Capital...

We sell Thermador, Wolf, Viking, Electrolux and Monogram, which are the dominant players in this market. Still these two ranges are somewhat compelling for different reasons.

NXR:

At $1999 for a 30 inch and $2999 for a 36 inch non self cleaning, NXR is an economical alternative to the more entrenched brands. NXR features 15,500 BTU burners, which all can simmer at a very low 500 BTUS. We have sold about 15 since last year without issue.

Capital:

From the previous owners of the financially imploded DCS is the new yet similar Capital Range Corp. Capital is interesting as well with a powerful 19,500 BTU burner(the average is about 16,000) and a competitive price for self cleaning at $3999 for a 36 and $4999 for a 48.

But will you consider them?
