Surviving The Warehouse Clearance March 15 and 16

(For regular readers of the Yale Blog, I reposted this due to demand. There is a new post underneath)

Every year we have a Spring Clearance in our warehouse in Mansfield with anywhere between 500,000 to 750,000 worth of different appliances. If the number seems high, consider this, we do not charge customers for sizing errors with restocking fees, which is the practice in our industry.

Returns are still only 1-2%. Shipments, however, are about 200-250 pieces a day so it really adds up. Then add in floor displays, customer cancellations and any discontinued styles and the sale becomes almost mandatory.

The key to finding the right appliance at 25-75% is simple. Arrive Early. We start at 10, but there is usually a line by 9:30. Find what you need quickly and have a salesperson mark it sold, so you can find the next piece. Prioritize based on your need, because other people are thinking the same.

The sale is certainly worth your time.

    Hi Steve,

Will March 15 & 16th be the only days for the Warehouse Clearance? I believe the last Warehouse Clearance you guys had, there was an extra day (Thurs) on top of Sat & Sun? Thanks!

Do items purchased at the Warehouse sale also include Yale's free delivery (for items over $499) and free removal?
    Thanks!

  8. In a word, yes...As long as the items are $499 or greater, delivery is free..

Hi Steve, I'm currently building a house and I've put a down payment on a big order at Yale. If I should find the same items at the sale could I purchase them and remove the item from my current order? Thank you!

I just signed up for the email list yesterday. Do I need to bring anything (email notification, etc) to attend the 3-8pm warehouse sale on 3/13? I don't want to drive all the way out there and get turned away at the door.

  17. I can always access your information in case there is an issue. There will not be a problem

Is there going to be a list of items that will be available at the sale prior to Thursday 13th? Mansfield is a pretty long drive for me and I'd hate to make the trip if there is nothing I need/want. Thanks!

  19. I did not list the appliances this year...for various reasons. If anyone has specific questions, I will be happy to email an answer, so there are no wasted trips....

If you are here Saturday morning, you should find something worthwhile

    Hi Steve,

If you purchase an item at the warehouse sale that currently has a rebate going (example Kitcheaid diswashers) are you able to take advantage of that discount as well?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I was waiting for this question, because the answer is yes. All models with rebates are eligible.

The instant, National, regional and local rebates are extra and separate...

Let me expound further...There are multiple piece rebates starting at 2 pieces for Frigidaire, Bosch, JennAir, KitchenAid and Whirlpool. You can buy a piece or two at the warehouse and finish your order in the store for the added rebate

To paraphrase, appliances are 25-75% off from Yale, and the pieces are rebateable at the reduced price

  25. Hi,

I only have space for a 66" Height and 31" wide refrigerator. I would like a black one. I would also like a bottom freezer drawer. Do you have any of them on sale this weekend? If so, what is the price and make/model.
I live in NH and it would be nice to know before coming down.
    thanks

    Hi Steve,

I have two questions. I am thinking about a new dishwasher--my 16 yr old KA still runs, but has never done a good job and I reckon it will stop running sometime before too long. I have read the information comparing Bosch and KA and like what I read about the Bosch quality, but prefer the idea of the internal food grinder. In reading reviews of KA products I read a lot of negative reviews. My own experience has been a very reliable machine, but I have been handwashing first since the beginning of ownership. I'm sorely tempted to come to the sale and shop for a new SS DW, but feel very confused on the brand. I want an energy efficient machine, big capacity and I'm not worried about the noise issue.

    Thoughts?

Will there be a good selection of SS DWs available? If you prefer to respond by email, my address is:
    lsuttenfield@comcast.net

    Thanks!

  27. Mcqkidz,

We have that type of product in stainless. We do have the next size at 32.58 width

  28. LSuttenfield,

I do like KitchenAid, Bosch, Miele, JennAir and Miele for different reasons...

When you look at complaint information, you almost have to ferret whether it is a product problem or the people fixing it...

KitchenAid has the internal grinder and some decent features(I actually blogged KitchenAid Versus Bosch), and the their level of problems are consistent with the industry. We service more products in Boston than anyone except Sears

To answer your question, yes there will be stainless dishwashers, but dishwashers and laundry are the first items to sell

    Hope this helps...

  29. Hi Steve,

I am looking for a high end single wall oven (hopefully Miele), an undercounter fridge and a range hood. Any chance of finding any or all? Thanks in advance for any info. DLM

    Steve,

I am finishing my mancave and will need an undercounter refrigerator. Will there be any that are 75% off. I would be interested in ss or glass front. It would be quite a drive so any information would be appreciated. Thanks

Can we use our Yale Card to purchase?
    Thanks!
    See you later today...

  32. DLM: There is at least 1 Miele single oven(16 single ovens total)
    for this weekend

    ReplyDelete
  33. There are no undercounters at 75% off, The average seems to be 30-40%.

However, Uline and Marvel are promoting $100 instant rebates this month with us as well

    Its worth a look

    Hi,
I know you have many great higher end products but we are looking for a small fridge for the basement that can not be more than 28" wide so it can fit thru the doorway. Do you carry items like this? Also, the price would not meet the free delivery charge so what would the fee be? If we wanted to arrange a pickup at a later date is that doable?
    Thanks.
    Dot

  35. You can use your Yale Card to purchase, it will save you $40 on a five year warranty as long as you agree to pay it off with the next statement.

We do have some 28" wide top freezer refrigerators but unfortunately none in our outlet. Delivery is $50 if the order is under $499, or you can pick it up at the store in Boston or the warehouse in Mansfield once we get it in. Our phone sales department can help you find what you are looking for: 617-825-YALE.

    Thank you,
    Shawn
